About the Artist
My journey as an artist began at a very early age, long before I even learned how to write. One of my earliest memories is of my mother asking me to help her sketch the design of an earring. I remember placing the earring beside a blank sheet of paper, picking up a pencil, and drawing what I saw. When I finished, my mother looked at me and confidently said that I was meant to be an artist. In many ways, that moment marked the beginning of a destiny already set in motion.
I went on to pursue my formal education in Fine Arts at the University of Peshawar’s Department of Art and Design, graduating with an honors degree. Soon after, I entered a new phase of life through marriage and devoted myself wholeheartedly to raising my family. During these years, my artistic practice took a back seat as I embraced what became the most meaningful purpose of my life: nurturing and raising my five children to grow into individuals who could make their own mark in the world.
As the years passed and my children grew independent, I found myself facing a quiet but profound void. With the encouragement of my family and a long-simmering desire to reconnect with my passion, I returned to painting. What once felt like a distant flame quickly reignited, reminding me that art had always been an essential part of who I am. Picking up my brushes again felt less like a new beginning and more like a homecoming.
For several years now, I have been fully immersed in my artistic practice, exploring color, form, and expression with renewed energy and purpose. My work reflects the diversity of my lived experiences and seeks to tell personal stories through dynamic and harmonious compositions. While watercolor remains my preferred medium, my practice spans multiple formats and techniques, resulting in a distinctive style that bridges tradition with innovation.
Nature and everyday life serve as my greatest sources of inspiration. I strive to capture fleeting moments, subtle emotions, and the quiet beauty that often goes unnoticed. Each brushstroke is intentional, infused with care, passion, and a deep appreciation for the transformative power of art.
My work has been exhibited in several prestigious galleries, including Ocean Art Gallery, Studio Seven, Alliance Française, Sumbara Art, and many other renowned venues. I have also had the honor of participating in international exhibitions across the USA, KSA, and beyond.
Through my art, I aim to bring joy, beauty, and reflection into the lives of those who encounter it. Whether portraying a portrait or a landscape, I pour my heart and soul into every piece, with the hope that my work inspires others to see the world with renewed wonder and to find beauty even in life’s simplest moments.
